Rev. Marilyn Buehler, M.Div.

Marilyn has a Masters of Divinity from the Sancta Sophia Seminary. She honors all spiritual paths as they meet on the mystical level, knowing the exterior differences fade as we learn to live a life guided by higher principles. 

 

Marilyn is a certified Spiritual Director through the Franciscan Spiritual Center Spiritual Director Training Program. She is also a Spiritual Director Supervisor, having studied supervision with Spiritual Directors International. Marilyn is a member of Spiritual Directors International

 

She has certificates as a Wellness Guide, Pastoral Counselor, and in Christian Ministry from Light of Christ Community Church.  She is an Esoteric Christian/Interspiritual minister, and is a Minister in Special Standing with the International Council of Community Churches.

In the early 1970's, Marilyn began her spiritual exploration through reading the Bhagavad-Gita and practicing meditation.  Her inquiry led her to explore the teachings of Meher Baba, Sufism, Vedanta, eastern wisdom, Agni Yoga, and the Christian mystical traditions.  Beginning in 2002, as a student at Sancta Sophia Seminary, she studied Esoteric Christianity. She is mindful of the truths expressed in all spiritual paths.

 

She completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education at the UC Davis Medical Center.  From 2009 through 2012, she was a weekend chaplain at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center. 

Dedicated to support interreligious dialog and interspirituality, Marilyn is a member of the  Parliament of the World's Religions.  She attended the 2015 Parliament in Salt Lake City, the 2018 Parliament in Toronto, Canada, the virtual 2021 Parliament, and the 2023 Parliament held in Chicago.

Marilyn views healing from a wholistic perspective and is an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor, a Virtues Project Facilitator, and a Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help Instructor. With interest in the Enneagram and how this wisdom can support her work with others, she is a member of The Narrative Enneagram international community.
