RITUAL

Rituals are sacred ceremonies which invoke and evoke energies to empower life. The Radiant Light Spiritual Center can create rituals for individual need.  As an Esoteric Christian minister, Marilyn seeks to bring to light the hidden meaning of ritual and the traditional Christian sacraments. The intent is to use ritual with greater understanding of their purpose and intent. The sacraments renew and revitalize life and to lift our awareness to the holy.

Baptism

A Christian sacrament invoking spiritual forces and guardians--both physical and nonphysical--to assist us as we encounter life's challenges. The rite opens the aura and invokes grace to foster spiritual awareness. Baptism leaves an "indelible imprint in the inner and higher worlds, visible to angels and the spiritually awakened."1

Confirmation

A public rite in which one bears witness that one is knowledgeable and courageous enough to defend the faith. "The Sacrament of Chrismation, or Confirmation, brings down the power of the Holy Spirit and its gifts: inspiration, understanding, strength, and energy upon both the soul and the personality..."2

Confession

A sacrament of the Christian tradition in which errors are acknowledged and the grace of repentance is sought. Known as the "sacrament of reconciliation," this rite of forgiveness invokes healing and new life forces to help the initiate proceed on the spiritual journey. All are encouraged to live an ethical life, and to reflect that sin is a way of learning by following self-interest and prompting of the senses. If we seek to know right action for our life and to live in the light of the soul, we will be less inclined to sin (self inflicted nonsense.) Contemplate that the word sin is derived from the Greek, amartia, which means to "miss the mark."

Marriage

A holy ceremony conducted by a minister or priest in which a man and a women who have prepared themselves spiritually to take vows of love and dedication of each other before a community of which they are a part. The sacrament of marriage is a spiritual path of mutual adjustment and understanding, in which the couple can invoke the virtues of the soul.  Married life is a spiritual enterprise.

Eucharist or Holy Communion

The Eucharist is a Christian rite of sacred contact with the Christ within and assists in building the higher etheric body of the recipient. The celebrant stands as a representative of the Christ and blesses the bread, wine, and water. Words of power are spoken, and accordingly the substance is changed. The blessings of this ritual radiate out into the community.

Healing

Anointing the sick and the dying with holy oil is known as the Christian sacrament of healing. The ritual invokes the life force of right action. It is a blessing to benefit the soul and body which brings spiritual and physical help to the one in need. For the dying, these "last rites" may include communion, use of holy oils, holy water, candles and prayers to assist in the creation of a sacred atmosphere. The deceased can be anointed to close the chakras in preparation for the journey through the planes.
