THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FULL MOON MEDITATION
Next Full Moon Meditation: Wednesday, November 12th at 7:00 pm - Trinity Cathedral
The evening begins with a guided meditation and continues with prayers and visualization of world peace.
During a full moon, a bridge of contact and communication is available between humanity and higher centers. This opens a channel between humanity and the Source of Life and there is an opportunity for regeneration. One can contact a new and greater vision and align on the path of evolution and service. The moon is acknowledged as a feminine influence that controls the tides, the fluids of the body, and the emotions. By being aware of the time of the full moon, we can enhance our spiritual life and ‘touch the hem of the garment” of our soul.
Group work is especially beneficial at this time—and a reason for coming together. If we desire a working relationship between the mind and the soul, we begin to tap the energies of the cosmos. Soul resides in the more subtle dimension. We can learn to use the hidden influences of the heavens to support our spiritual life and moves us towards our goal of transformation from personality consciousness to awareness of the soul.
The time of the full moon is a period when spiritual energies are uniquely available and facilitate a closer rapport between humanity and the Christ. Each month the inflowing energies carry the specific qualities of the constellation influencing the particular month; these energies playing sequentially upon humanity, establish the "divine attributes" in the consciousness of humanity. As aspirants and disciples we seek to channel the spiritual inflow into the minds and hearts of men, and thus strengthen the link between the human kingdom and the Kingdom of God.
Preparation and self-observation become keys to expansion and handling the incoming forces appropriately.
Day 1: We begin to prepare the physical body for the stirring of the cosmic force.
Day 2: We focus upon the emotional body, attuning to beauty and love.
Day 3: We prepare the mind or mental nature to serve. The mind strives for understanding.
Day 4: The day of contact. A day poised between light and dark; we choose the light. We hold the day in private contemplation. I lift my heart and mind as a chalice in communion with the Inner Lord. I receive the outpouring to use in my quest and for the well-geing of humanity.
Day 5: Allow the energy of the previous day to settle into the personality.
Day 6: The energy change continues to renew within the heart, mind, and nature.
Day 7: The blessing that have been received must radiate through us and through all humanity to the world of creation.
Energies not usually or normally contacted, can be touched, grasped and utilized at this time, provided that they are contacted in group formation. Thus the individual, the group and humanity are enriched and vitalized.
