7:00 pm ~ Meher Baba Study Group - Guest Speaker: Duncan Knowles - Arden-Dimick Library, 891 Watt Avenue (at Northrup), Community Room, Sacramento, CA. Duncan Knowles was married to Charmian Duce Knowles for 33 years before her passing in 2003. Charmian was the daughter of Ivy Duce (Murshid of a school of Sufism that was reoriented by Meher Baba.) Duncan assisted Charmian with the editing of her book about her life with Meher Baba, Spread My Love, and will share with us correspondence between Charmian and Baba covering more than 20 years. The story that unfolds is the interplay between Charmian's early wishes for the dream life envisioned by many in the 1940s and 1950s and Meher Baba's wish and will for Charmian's life. Duncan will also show pictures of Charmian and Meher Baba, some quite rare. |
The Figueira Study Group Network offers anyone interested in the work of Jose Trigueirinho the opportunity to go deeper into these teachings. The Sacramento Study group will meet the first Monday of each month and continue individual practice and study for throughout the month.
Individuals and groups in the Network listen to English translations of lectures by Jose Trigueirinho each week, at a time of their choosing. By listening to the same lecture each week an energy field is generated from the collective effort of all those in the Network.
ESOTERIC CHRISTIANITY and ITS HIDDEN MYSTERIES
Thirty lessons to explore the hidden side of Christianity. Learn about the inner path of Christianity. All spiritual paths meet in their mystical traditions. This course uses the material from the Sophia On-line class.
If you are interested in course material, please contact Marilyn at 916-812-9496. Marilyn is a Sancta Sophia Seminary mentor for this course. You can study the lessons on your own, with an option to have Marilyn as a personal guide through the material.
Marilyn facilitates occasional meetings for those seeking to learn more about Meher Baba's message of divine love. These meetings are held at the Arden-Dimick library at the corner of Watt and Northrop Avenues in Sacramento, and are open to all. A meeting may include watching a DVD about Meher Baba's life, listening to CDs of talks given by those who spent time with Meher Baba, reading from books by and about Meher Baba, and/or singing devotional songs.

MARRIAGE OF SPIRIT - RECONCILIATION AND UNIFICATION OF OPPOSITES
Learn to identify and bring to awareness mental and emotional states of consciousness that have previously been cause of unconscious reactions. Utilizing the Marriage of Spirit processing techniques, cultivate the neutral witness, break the ego structures, and move to the ascended state of consciousness. These techniques are tools for working with the shadow (unconscious states of mind) to free themselves and others from reactionary states of consciousness and to recreate balance and harmony in the midst of our every day life, and invite grace into our lives.
